Welcome to our site

The Garden Route is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt parts of Southern Africa, an area characterised by mountains, lush forests, unspoilt bush land and many springs, creeks and streams that are home to many species of animals.

Unfortunately, hundreds of animals - both wild and domestic - suffer horrible injuries and indescribably cruel death as a result of wire snares set in the bush by animal poachers.

By removing these primitive death traps, we are able to save the lives of these innocent animals and preserve the natural beauty and balance of this area.

We have created this site to create increased awareness about the presence and impact of wire snares and other animal traps along the Garden Route and to to raise the profile of our organisation.

Our Founder, Sedgefield resident Craig Hartung holding a variety of wire snares collected on a local farm. Can you imagine the pain and suffering that the wire would cause a defenseless animal?
